Cataloging & Valuation

Cataloging is free of charge if you choose to use us for an auction sale or outright purchase of your collection. If you want the cataloging and valuation service only, the fee is 5% of the average value found in our research, up to $5,000 in value; the fee is 3.5% beyond $5,000. 

There is a $250 minimum charge for our remote valuation service (we send you a form to get the essential information by email. You supply that information and a couple of photos; we do the rest).  $500 minimum for in-person evaluation. 

Our fee for items sold at auction is 35% of the gross auction sale amount. Auction fees are the owner’s responsibility; they average 10-12%. Buyers generally cover shipping costs. 

For example, if your item sells for $800, our fee would be $280; your payout would be $520, less the auction fees of approximately $80. The buyer will pay shipping costs.

We will pay you 55% of the average value we determine and agree on for your entire collection. We assume all the risk and costs for disposing of the collection. One transaction and you are settled. You are paid before the items leave your possession.

We will arrange delivery of any firearm to an individual for 10% of the average value. 

Shipping costs for out of town recipients would be additional.
